The NSGIC Board of Directors, Conference Committee, and staff are looking forward to heading to OKC for the 2027 NSGIC Annual Conference to be held September 19-24, 2027 at the Skirvin Hilton downtown OKC.

The Annual Conference is the place to enhance geospatial excellence and collaboration for state, local, tribal, and federal GIS policymakers and coordinators, private sector partners and other leaders in the geospatial ecosystem. Providing critical and timely networking opportunities, the conference also offers the chance to connect, collaborate, and share with colleagues and partners.

Call for Abstracts

For the 2026 NSGIC Annual Conference we are soliciting abstracts for live plenary content, which will be selected on a competitive basis. Preference will be given to State presentations and those business partners and private sector submissions that feature involvement with the states and/or a panel presentation that includes state representatives.

All NSGIC members in good standing may submit nominations for the Geospatial Excellence Awards per the categories below. Past award winners can be found on the Awards Page.

NSGIC Service Awards

Nominations for Service Awards are handled by the NSGIC Board of Directors and presented at the Annual Conference. For a list of past award winners please visit the NSGIC Awards page.

NSGIC has secured a group block at the Skirvin Hilton, where the conference will be held. Thank you for booking in our block.

Once registered for the conference, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the group block booking site. Group rates will be based on per diem plus tax. If you have any questions about housing or need help with booking a room please reach out to ashley.sievert@nsgic.org for assistance.

For NSGIC state representatives faced with funding challenges, NSGIC offers limited conference grants to fully or partially cover reasonable travel expenses, hotel accommodations, and/or conference registration fees.
