The Geospatial Preparedness Working Group meets every other month to discuss real-world GIS use and how it is applied during events while encouraging geospatial data sharing, application development, testing, and usage in support of emergency management, law enforcement, and security operations to promote preparedness to communities as a whole.
Specific working group topics include real-world presentations on the use and/or integration of GIS during disasters, promoting GIS best practice discussions, federal/state GIS data coordination, federal resource documentation, and general working group tasks. To get involved with the working group, please email the NSGIC staff liaison.
