Call for Abstracts

For the 2027 NSGIC Midyear Meeting we are soliciting abstracts for the live plenary and Fed Day (day TBD). Content will be reviewed and selected by the Conference Committee on a competitive basis. Preference will be given to State and Federal presentations and those business partners and private sector submissions that feature involvement with the states and/or a panel presentation that includes state representatives.

NSGIC has secured a group block of rooms for our attendees at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, where the meeting will be held. Thank you for booking your hotel room through the NSGIC block. Group rates are based on prevailing per diem plus tax.

Registering for the Midyear Meeting will produce a confirmation email that includes the hotel booking link! If you need to book your hotel prior to registering for the event, please reach out to ashley.sievert@nsgic.org.
The last day for guaranteed hotel block pricing is January 30, while rooms last!

Don’t forget about the always popular, Sticker Swap! Bring some stickers from your organization to share with others. There will be an area setup near registration to drop off and pick up. Take a few, leave a few!

For NSGIC state representatives faced with funding challenges, NSGIC offers limited conference grants to fully or partially cover reasonable travel expenses, hotel accommodations, and/or conference registration fees.

Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is just a 15 minute drive from the resort.

Denver Airport (DEN) is about an hour and 20 minute drive as another option.

We know what you’re thinking, winter in Colorado means SNOW! Well, this is snow’s perfect state, but we don’t get as much in Colorado Springs as you’d expect. The mountains and ski towns get plenty, but we still enjoy all the other outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and picnicking year around. And remember that Colorado likes to be unpredictable, so even in the depth of our coldest months, we get the occasional 60 degree day.

February

This month usually wins the prize for most consecutive overcast days, and usually the coldest days of the year. Three days in a row is the longest we usually go without the sun, so if you come on a cloudy day, just give it a minute. Expect 20’s-40’s.
