In this first 3DEP For the Nation Interest Group meeting of 2025 we heard from Kurt Schellhase and Ben Clark, Meta Engineers behind the derivation of Overture Map Foundation’s building heights from 3DEP data. They discussed how the Meta team leveraged 3DEP data to derive building heights as well as the value publicly available high definition data sets like 3DEP provide the broader community.
